About the writer

Born and raised in Virginia, Michelle published three chapbooks (2007-2010) with Polican Publishing and a music CD, Try to Relate. Another music collection, Peace and Quiet, is digitally released under pen name, MiCKi in 2011.  Recent writings earned awards from Massachusetts State Poetry Society, Charlottesville Area Transit, and VWC’s Inside Back-Cover Poetry.  The original jingle “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” has been performed at litter and “green” events with her collaborator, Earl Dixon.  MiCKi hosted Open Mic performance venues from Orange, Virginia to Bozeman, Montana as an outreach endeavor to promote artistic expression of the “everyday man and woman”.  Michelle also worked with the short-lived band, Hiding Otis, and performed a variety of cover tunes by such artists from Pat Benatar and Pink Floyd in Manassas VA.

Your singing voice is as lovely as your writing voice. Thanks for all you do.
